DEVELOPMENT TRENDS AND PROSPECTS OF MOBILE PAYMENT SERVICES IN THE DIGITAL ECONOMY OF UZBEKISTAN

Abstract. The paper examines the present condition, development trends and prospects of mobile payment services in Uzbekistan. The study reviews the expansion of digital payment infrastructure, the role of the national payment systems Uzcard and Humo, the growing influence of major fintech operators, the performance of P2P transactions, and the transformation of consumer payment behavior. Drawing on statistical data for 2020–2026 and analytical insights, the author identifies key structural shifts, existing challenges, and future prospects for mobile payments within the broader process of Uzbekistan’s digital economic transformation.
