Abstract: This article examines the theoretical and practical foundations of the creative economy, one of the most dynamic sectors of the modern global economy. The study analyzes the history of the “creative industries” concept, focusing on the UK experience, its 13 key sectors, and the pivotal role of intellectual property in generating economic value. By utilizing historical, empirical, and comparative analysis methods, the article highlights the distribution of gross value added (GVA) across creative sectors and their growth over the years Based on international best practices, the paper provides strategic recommendations and conclusions for diversifying Uzbekistan’s economy and fostering creative entrepreneurship.
