Abstract. The article examines the features of pension provision in the CIS countries, its main types, analysis of the current situation with pension provision in the CIS countries, the existing problems of pension provision for citizens and the main directions of reforms aimed at solving them. The article provides information on the retirement age required for retirement in the CIS countries, analyzes the relationship between the size of the pension and the minimum consumer basket established in the CIS countries. The article also examined the age and seniority of women and men applying for retirement benefits in different countries.
