Abstract. This article examines the theoretical and practical aspects of assessing the financial stability of commercial banks. A comparative analysis of financial stability assessment mechanisms applied in the banking systems of the United States, the United Kingdom, and Germany is carried out. Particular attention is paid to capital adequacy, liquidity, asset quality, profitability, and stress testing. Based on the findings, scientific recommendations are proposed for improving the financial stability assessment system of commercial banks in Uzbekistan in accordance with international standards.
