Abstract. This article examines the scientific-theoretical and practical aspects of strengthening the deposit base of commercial banks in the context of banking system reforms. The study analyzes the role and importance of deposits in the structure of bank liabilities, their function as a stable source of funding, and their impact on the financial stability of banks. The findings indicate that strengthening the deposit base is a key factor in ensuring bank liquidity, expanding lending activities, and improving overall financial stability. In this regard, the article proposes practical recommendations aimed at improving deposit policy in commercial banks, introducing modern banking services, and increasing customer trust
