Abstract:The article is devoted to the issues of poverty reduction and financing of social protection. The main directions are considered as economic growth, development of the social protection system, and poverty alleviation. Sources of financing include the state budget, the private sector, and international assistance. International experiences and the possibilities of adapting them to the conditions of Uzbekistan are analyzed. The article also discusses methods for increasing the effectiveness of social protection programs and effective management of financial resources. Many developed countries have successfully implemented social protection systems and have achieved significant poverty reduction. For example, the Scandinavian countries have comprehensive social protection systems, and their populations are among the worldʻs leading countries in terms of social protection. Their experience shows that a comprehensive and well-funded social protection system plays a major role in ensuring economic stability and reducing poverty. However, international experiences in reducing poverty and financing social protection may not yield the same results everywhere. Each country has its own economic, social and political conditions, and therefore each country needs to develop its own approaches.
Key words: Economic indicators, social programs, population incomes, poverty reduction, social protection, financing, state budget, private sector, international aid, economic growth.
