Abstract. The article studies the views of leading world scientists on the role and potential of cooperatives in agricultural financing, analyzes the types of cooperatives and their main characteristics, the main areas of activity of cooperatives in agricultural financing, the experience of developing and financing agriculture in developed countries, and provides substantiated conclusions and proposals on the role and potential of cooperatives in agricultural financing.
