Abstract. The agricultural sector in Uzbekistan presents a significant opportunity for economic growth and development, particularly through the attraction of foreign investment. However, current mechanisms for attracting such investment are suboptimal. This paper examines various strategies to enhance the attractiveness of Uzbekistan’s agriculture sector to foreign investors. The analysis is grounded in a multi-dimensional approach that encompasses legal, economic, and socio-political aspects. The article reveals the necessity and importance of attracting foreign investment in the agricultural sector of Uzbekistan, including foreign direct investment. In 2018-2022, indicators related to the production of agricultural, forestry and fish products, the number of investment projects and the amount of financing implemented in the agricultural sector were analyzed. The factors that negatively affect the attraction of foreign investment in agriculture have been identified, and proposals and recommendations have been developed to improve the attraction of foreign investment in the agricultural sector.
