Abstract: In this article, the development of modern approaches to the analysis and assessment of the economic potential of economic entities, ensuring the reliability of the information used in the analysis process, the classification of the economic potential taking into account the interests of owners, management bodies, investors and other interested parties, and the methodical aspects of the formation of their private and general indicators system have been improved. Issues of improving economic potential management methods aimed at improving investment attractiveness, taking into account the characteristics of the national economy, and ensuring stable and proportionate economic growth in our country, increasing the effectiveness of economic reforms, identifying new growth points based on an in-depth analysis of the current state of socio-economic development of the regions, and using the existing economic potential sufficiently special attention is paid to use. In particular, ways of analyzing the economic potential through the system of indicators using the financial statements made on the basis of the national accounting standards and the financial statements made on the basis of the international accounting standards in economic entities are given. Also, on the basis of national and international standards of accounting, to analyze the economic potential as completely as possible and on this basis to increase the economic potential of economic entities, to ensure the competitiveness of products, to identify and classify the factors affecting the economic potential of economic entities, to reduce costs, to produce products based on high technologies issues of production and attracting investments are covered.
