The relevance is driven by high demographic growth and limited local labor market capacity. Using a correlation-regression model (OLS), the impact of net migration and remittances on gross regional product (GRP) was quantitatively measured. Results indicate that remittances exert a strong multiplier effect, significantly stimulating the economy but posing structural institutional risks to the social sphere.
