Abstract.<\/em><\/strong> This article analyzes the role of the New Uzbekistan Constitution, adopted through a national referendum, in the life of society and its significance as the main legal document in building New Uzbekistan. It also highlights the attention given to ensuring human rights, freedoms, and dignity, as well as strengthening democratic principles through the amendments and additions made to the Constitution. The article reveals the role of the Constitution as a strategic document \u2014 a \u201croadmap\u201d \u2014 that determines the development of the state and society, and substantiates its importance in the formation of a legal state and civil society. It is emphasized that the new edition of the Constitution of the Republic of Uzbekistan, adopted in the referendum held on April 30, 2023, reflects the approach \u201cNew Uzbekistan \u2013 the constitution of development,\u201d and that this idea must be deeply integrated into the essence of the Constitution and turned into a fundamental value in practical life. As noted by the President, the Constitution of independent Uzbekistan, in its essence, philosophy, and concept, is a renewed document, with ideas and principles aimed at forming a civil society and a legal state. This article also outlines the real mechanisms of people\u2019s power introduced in the updated Constitution. Indeed, it is well known that all political, economic, social, and cultural reforms carried out in our country serve the interests of the people, improving their quality of life. Finally, the article provides brief information about several articles included in the new edition of the Constitution of the Republic of Uzbekistan.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n
