This article presents the opinions and conceptual approaches of scientists aimed at defining electronic money and its essence. The emergence and stages of development of electronic money have been studied. The author has studied and analyzed various views of classical scientists and researchers on conceptual approaches to the interpretation of electronic money. Among them are the informatization of the economy and the introduction of electronic money, various interpretations of electronic money.<\/p>\n<p>Keywords.
